Woven Knitting Basket?

I have had this little woven basket for years. I use it on occasion for my knitting projects but the yarn tends to catch in the basket weaving, which can be frustrating, as you can imagine, especially when it catches a stitch. The size of this basket is great, just big enough for a project a book, phone, keys....

Then it all came together. Some vintage fabric, bias tape, A basket, a sewing machine, some time put aside, me and the idea....a basket lining.....

I had to make a pattern first. A muslin tester, another muslin before commiting to cut and sew the saved vintage fabric...

I'm so pleased a took the time to make it. Now I'm ready for another day at the soccer field....

Sling Hobo Knitting Bag

I am really into sewing when I can at the moment. But of course I still knit. Always :-)

My latested sewing passion is making bags. It began when I sewed a few for my knitting projects and for my daughters. You can never have too many knitting bags!! My latest project is this sling, hobo bag, it is room enough for my knitting projects with a pocket for items like keys and knitting notions. I am listing a couple of knitting bags at my etsy store in various styles.
